Convergence
India has, over the past eleven years, entrenched itself, as the
largest and longest-running communications event in the country.
With a demonstrated track record for making business happen, 12th
Convergence India 2004 international exhibition and conference during
18-20 March 2004 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi emphasised on the
impact of innovative technologies on the real life business environment.
It targetted heightened productivity and tapped new revenue streams.
- The
three-day 12th Convergence India 2004 exhibition and conference,
inaugrated by Shri Pradip Baijal, (Chiarman, Telecom Regulatory
Authority of India) is the largest communications event in the
country. The exhibition was held in halls 8, 9, 10 and 11, while
two parallel conference tracks were organised in the first floor
of halls 7 and 8 at Pragati Maidan.
- Against
246 participants in the previous year, 276 participating organisations
graced the 12th Convergence India 2004 event. The number of participating
countries rose from 18 to 24 including India.
- There
were five country pavilions - China, France, Israel, Korea and
the USA.

- New
Attraction - HP Mobile e-services bazaar - HP Bazaar Dynamo
The HP mobile e-services bazaar has been recognized as a forum
where networking, collaboration and connection yield cutting edge
mobile e-service solutions. The bazaar is a recognized avenue
for revenue generation.
- As
ever, Exhibitions India drew deep roots to nurture the 12th Convergence
India 2004 event - virtually every key industry body was actively
involved. We've massively expanded the scope and scale of our
promotion and support campaign. Intensive widespread advertising
made 12th Convergence India 2004 very hard to miss. All the relevant
print and electronic media covered the event.
- 20,018
trade visitors from the industry, government and related trade
associations attended the event.
- The
questionnaire issued at the conclusion of the exhibition indicated

- The
international conference running concurrent to the exhibition
was also a great success. An impressive 1,207 delegates participated
at the conference. 73 expert speakers (37 Indian and 36 International
speakers) from around the globe gave presentations.

Convergence India 2004 exhibitor, visitor and media comments were
very positive.
- The
13th Convergence India 2005 international exhibition and conference
will be held during 29-31 March 2005 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi,
India. Due to the high demand, exhibitors should apply for space
without delay.
