Dubai, UAE, 16 October 2022: From 10-14 October 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, GITEX GLOBAL returned, in its largest-ever edition featuring 5,000 companies spanning 26 halls and two million sq. ft of exhibition space, at an extraordinary 25 percent year-on-year increase, pushing its capacity limit at the venue.
Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai inaugurated India Pavilion at GITEX. During his address, Puri remarked, “This year is the largest participation of Indian companies in GITEX and we are proud of it. India and UAE share strong cultural and economic links that have got a further boost with the signing of CEPA earlier this year. He said that Dubai has emerged as the most significant partner for Indian companies from the electronics and IT sector. GITEX is a playground for Indian Startup companies, who can get international exposure from different other parts of the world. This the platform where Made-in-India products are showing their strength to the world.”
To commemorate India’s 75th Independence and to showcase, a new and dynamic India with never-ending opportunities, growing technical prowess and innovations, GITEX GLOBAL 2022 witnessed India’s most extensive participation, and Comnet Exhibitions was at the forefront, managing the country’s representation at this grand event.

India-Middle East Tech Landscape
India has experienced significant growth in electronics hardware exports, with exports to the Middle East alone valued at $3,323 million during 2021-22. The UAE stands out as the second-largest global destination for India's electronics exports, accounting for 16% of the total, amounting to $2,468 million. Additionally, software and related services exports to the Middle East reached $3,300 million during the same period.
