The inaugural day of the event was graced by the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India. The expos hosted approximately 1000 brands and 200 start-ups over a period of three days at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Living up to this year’s theme of ‘Innovation driving Sustainability’ representatives from key ministries spoke of ongoing ‘Digital India’ programmes, spokespersons of big Indian and global brands deliberated on future plans and new-age startups showcased solutions for transforming India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge-based economy.  Key dignitaries included Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman and Managing Director ITPO and Ministry of Commerce & Industry, H.E. Karel Hirman, Minister of Economy Slovak Republic, V. Raghuandan, Secretary TRAI, LT Gen DR. SP Kochhar and Arvind Bali, CEO, Telecom Sector Skill Council to name a few. Over 200 speakers participated in 42 high-powered conference sessions. The show brought together startup founders, startup enthusiasts, public and private players across industries and geographies, under one roof.
